1. Services Provided

Honest Home Care offers personalized home care services for seniors and individuals with disabilities in Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Meal preparation and feeding assistance
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Companionship and socialization
  • Transportation to appointments
  • Medication reminders
  • Assistance with daily activities (e.g., walking, gardening, reading)
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s care

Services are tailored to each client’s needs and can be scheduled for short-term or long-term care, part-time or 24/7. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services with reasonable notice.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients or their authorized representatives must:

  • Provide accurate information about the client’s health, needs, and preferences during the consultation to create a personalized care plan.
  • Notify Honest Home Care of any changes in the client’s condition or care requirements.
  • Maintain a safe environment for caregivers, free of hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Make timely payments for services as agreed upon in the care contract.

3. Caregiver Qualifications

All Honest Home Care caregivers are thoroughly screened, including criminal background checks, reference verification, NC Nurse Registry checks, and drug testing. Caregivers are bonded and trained to provide compassionate, professional care. We strive to assign consistent caregivers for continuity but may substitute caregivers as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.

4. Payment Terms

Honest Home Care operates on a private-pay basis. We can coordinate with long-term care providers or VA benefits, as noted on our website. Payment terms, including rates and schedules, will be outlined in the care contract provided during the consultation. Late payments may incur additional fees, and services may be paused until payment is received.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Clients may cancel services with reasonable notice (as specified in the care contract). Refunds for prepaid services may be issued at our discretion, subject to the terms of the care contract. Short-term care requests are accommodated, as noted on our website, but require advance scheduling.

6. Liability and Safety

Honest Home Care is committed to maintaining a safe and organized home environment for clients, as described in our services. However, we are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses caused by factors beyond our control, such as pre-existing home hazards or client actions. Clients agree to disclose any potential risks (e.g., unsafe conditions, aggressive pets) before services begin.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and comply with applicable laws, including HIPAA, to protect client information. Personal and health-related data shared with Honest Home Care will be used solely to provide care and communicate with families, as outlined in our services. We do not share client information with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

8. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services with written notice, as specified in the care contract. Honest Home Care reserves the right to terminate services if the client’s environment becomes unsafe, payment terms are not met, or care requirements exceed our capabilities.
